CHINESE. Highly experienced Mandarin singer, presenter, translator/interpreter and VO.

Kuei Lin has a B.A. in English & Chinese Literature at Tunghai University (Taiwan), and trained in vocal studies at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.  He is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker, with excellent Taiwanese language skills and good spoken French.  He has considerable versatility in accents, able to vary Mandarin Chinese from a standard accent to either a more northern (Pei-Jing) or southern (including Taiwanese and Singaporian) accents.  He has been a voice artist for English and Taiwanese clients since 1994.

He was a presenter for Taiwanese radio in the late 1980s, and for product launches for the HP, ICM and General Motors since 1994, including the Vectra Sicily and Opel Corsa Taiwan & Indonesia launches.  He worked for major translation companies and publishers in English to Chinese translation in Taiwan, Belgium and Great Britain.  He has also translated commercial texts of various lengths, from short story pieces to books on commercial letters of credit and history. He has even written a novel!

Kuei Lin has been an interpreter for ITN and Price Waterhouse since 1993 and is a singer of note having appeared in various operatic roles in Taiwan, France and Great Britain.  Other voice work includes promos, documentaries, films and commentaries for the BBC and Sky Television, and more recently commercials for Tiger Beer and Blue Dragon Chilli Sauce.

Aside from his presenting, interpreting and VO work, Kuei Lin is also an accomplished opera singer and dancer (contemporary) who has performed all over the world.
