Charlie is a native Geordie who can also deliver a crystal RP on demand! She is an accomplished artist with a number of film credits including roles in The One And Only, Purley Belter, Billy Elliot and The Scar - the latter winning her Best Actress at the Monte Carlo Film Festival.
On stage Charlie's performed in Making Waves (Stephen Joseph Theatre), Double Lives (Live Theatre Newcastle), Cooking With Elvis (Whitehall / Live Theatre Co.), Billy Elliot The Musical, Making Waves, A Passionate Woman, Andorra, The Snow Queen, Foreign Lands, Cabaret, Two, And A Nightingale Sang, Your Home In The West, and Close The Coalhouse Door.
She has extensive TV credits, appearing in such British TV staples as EastEnders, Byker Grove, Casualty and Our Friends In The North. Additional appearances include The Royal, Grafters, See You Friday, Oliver's Travels, The Tide Of Life, Colour Blind, Zig Zag Invaders, Singing The Blues and Little Richard Wrecked My Marriage. However she's probably best remembered as one of the starts of ITV's Emmerdale, playing the Val (for 12 years) - Diane's outrageous, glamrous trouble-making sister, who's 'had a go' at most of the men in the village!
Her VO experience is also varied having recorded many ads, trailers, documentaries and animation projects in the North East. More recently she's voiced commercials for Monster.co.uk, promos for Classic FM, and corporates for HBOS, Lloyds and Prudential.
