Rhydian Jones

WELSH / RP. Highly capable actor & VO. Wide range of Welsh lang. & English / RP deliveries. 'The Indian Doctor', 'Jonathan Creek'.

Rhydian is a highly talented and experienced Welsh stage, screen, and television actor and voice artist.  He is a native of Mid-West Wales and is fluent in Welsh language.  He has a mastery of all Welsh accents including South, North West, Swansea, South West, North East and Cardiff.  He also speaks English in perfect RP as well as a host of other UK regional and US accents.  

Rhydian's voice work includes commercials for Land Rover, Tesco, The Royal Marines, the British Army, Cancer Research, Now Magazine (TVC & Radio), LG Mobile, Vauxhall (English & Welsh lang.), and several COI public awareness campaigns (on anti smoking, don't drive tired and flu jabs - English & Welsh lang.).  He's voiced Panasonic sponsorship idents on National Geographic Channel, and corporate narration for ENSO (see his video clip in the right hand margin of this page), and promos for Fox Sports US (UEFA Champions League) and BT Sport.
 
He's also voiced an audio guide for the V&A Museum and has ADR/lip-synch experience following his work on Asylum.  He has also co-presented UNTRO - a children's programme on BBC Radio involving lots of storytelling, bringing characters to life.  More recently he's voiced Helio in the widely acclaimed game Bravely Default II (Nintendo), and Paul in the continuing animated interactive drama As Dusk Falls (Xbox / Interior Night).
 
His screen roles include work opposite Dustin Hoffman (Last Chance Harvey - Momentum), Anna Friel (Goal!, and it's sequel, Living The Dream - Icon), Martin Freeman & Ashley Jenson (Nativity - BBC Films), Stephen Fry & Rebecca Front (Absolute Power - BBC), Sir Ian McKellan & the late Natasha Richardson (Asylum - Paramount Pictures), Sanjeev Bhasker & Ayesha Dharker (The Indian Doctor - BBC), Kelly McDonald & Miriam Margoles (House - Pate), Alan Davies & Sarah Alexander (Jonathan Creek - BBC), Joseph Millson (Eight Days That Made Rome - Channel 5), as well as further TV roles for BBC, ITV, S4C, Sky One and Channel 5 (UK).  More recently he delivered a bi-lingual performance (Welsh / English) in the internationally acclaimed BANG (BBC / S4C / Artist Studios).

On stage his work includes playing Gerry Evans, opposite Laura Donnelly's Chrissy, in Brian Friel's Dancing At Lughnasa (Lyric, Belfast), with Complicite for Simon McBurney in Shakespeare's Measure For Measure (Royal National Theatre), and with the late Harold PInter in Look Europe (Almeida).
