Jon Edgley-Bond

RP / LONDON. Versatile characters to daunting authority, all with perfect comic timing!

Jon was trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and has been gaining varied experience across stage and screen.  He's naturally RP, but comfortable with a plethora of English and north American deliveries, both straight and in character, with voice ages ranging from 30s to OAPs!

He is a founder member and performer of The Fitzrovia Radio Hour (along with fellow Rhubarb artist
Tom Mallaburn) which was a smash hit at Edinburgh and further on stage (Ambassador's Theatre, Trafalgar Studios, The Globe Theatre, and national tours) and radio (BBC Radio 4).  More recently he participated in Fitzrovia's rendition of Dracula (The Colchester Mercury, directed by Cal McCrystal).

Other stage credits include Private Lives (The Gielgud Theatre), The Gunpowder Plot (The Globe Theatre), The Taming Of The Shrew (
Ripley Castle), Much Ado About Nothing (The Young Shakespeare Company), Midsummer Night's Dream (The Bristol Shakespeare Festival), and Peter Pan (Hong Kong & Kuala Lumpur tours).

On TV he's appeared in Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV), as Dr Harrington in Hollyoaks (Channel 4), Emmerdale (ITV), Words Of Everest (ITV), Harry Norris in Henry And Anne (Five), and Rum (Hat Trick).  You might also have caught him in commercials for Dominos Pizza and eBay.

His VO work thus far has been in computer games, audio drama and corporate work predominantly.  His game credits include Malus Darkblade in The Shadow And The Blade (Creative Assembly), for ADR/dubbing he's voiced Col. Anvil Jackson in
Dr Who: Terror Of The Sontarans and Jon Weston in Blake's 7 (both for Big Finish), and for corporates he's recorded pieces for Amira Rice and PWC.  He's also recorded commercials Carling / World Cup, and live Voice of God type announcements (the latest in the style of Batman & Robin from the 1950s!).  His natural talent for character voicing is also clearly displayed in his numerous comic Fitzrovia performances.

More recently he's voiced a video for a fundraiser for The Wild Trout Trust (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?y=HyxDCievtz0), and a documentary on Tony Benn.

Outside of his acting and voicing, he's mad on riding motorbikes, even training as an instructor, and plays guitar in a cover band.  He directs students at East 15, and is currently setting up a new theatre company in Kent.
