Babette Barat
FRENCH. Experienced and versatile actress, singer & VO.
Babette's first language is French, but she's been in the UK for much of her life such that her English is totally fluent and accentless, with an ability to dial up and down her 'Frenchness' at will! She trained at the Mountview Theatre School and has since had experience on stage, film and TV.
Her theatrical credits include roles in The Rivals, L'Aide Memoire, Judgement, Romeo & Juliet and Charley's Aunt. On film she was Marie Bresson in Those Without Shadows, Justine in Something To Believe In, a news reporter in Son Of The Pink Panther and Maria in A Duel Of Hearts.
On TV Babette was in Rough Treatment, Marlene Marlow Investigates, Chucklevision and How We Used To Live.
Her voice work includes commercial for Eurostar, Tesco, Surf, Volvic Water, Saturday Telegraph, Petit Filous, Yoplait, Port Salut Cheese, and Eden by Cacharel. She was the Moi Je Joue solo songstress on the Renault Laguna campaign. Babette has also recorded corporate pieces for clients including Eurostar.
Outside of her acting and voice work Babette enjoys horse riding, swimming and developing her sign language (BSL) skills.
