Catherine has worked extensively for BBC Radio 3Radio 4 and the World Service as a reader on Arts programmes including Poetry PleaseWords And MusicWith Great PleasureOpening Lines, The Verb and Night Waves, and has provided a variety of voices for documentaries such as Pandemic 1918, as well as acting in many radio dramas, the comedy series Bangers And Mash and Dr Who. She is an experienced narrator of audiobooks, recording numerous titles for Harper Collins, Ulverscroft, Isis Audio and Oakhill Publishing, and has also worked as presenter on five series of Tongue And Talk: The Dialect Poets (Radio 4/MIM) for which she was also series producer, Colomendy: A Rite Of Passage (BBC Radio Wales/MIM), and Witness Sporting Witness (BBC World Service/MIM).

Catherine is also a writer and director, and is Artistic Director of the poetry performance group Rhyme & Reason.
