Jason Barlow

IRISH. TV presenter - BBC TV's 'Top Gear' & 'Wrong Car, Right Car'. Charm, wit & authority.

Jason's voice has a charm, wit and typically Northern Irish musicality with strength yet playfulness, while he's more than capable of conveying a resolute sense of authority.  Jason was born in Northern Ireland and read law at Manchester University, and then gained a post-graduate diploma in Political Journalism from Cardiff University.

As a TV personality Jason has become familiar to millions of TV viewers around the world originally as one of the principal presenters on the BBC
's top-rated motoring programme Top Gear.  He has also fronted Channel 4's Driven programme, and co-presented the 2001 British Fashion Awards for BBC2.  He also presented the BBC's Wrong Car, Right Car series with Dominic Littlewood, giving amusing and informative banter on the best deals in the UK car market.  Recently he also presented a one hour BBC Northern Ireland documentary on Paddy Hopkirk's Minsk to Monte Carlo journey in a mini!

As a journalist Jason has written for Car (where he is the assistant editor), The Independent, the Telegraph, Loaded, i-D Magazine, 4 Car website, Performance Car, BBC Top Gear website, and Vogue, and monthly columns for GQ and Top Gear magazines.

His voice work includes commercials for Currys and Safeway, and corporate recordings for Ford.

Jason's interests extend to Formula One racing, Kubrick films and a rather alarming affinity for Withnail & I
