Catherine has RP/London, Cockney, Liverpool (native), Lancashire (native), Manchester, West Country, Geordie, Birmingham, Scots (Edinburgh / Glasgow), Irish (all), Welsh, and USA (all) accents.

Theatre work includes The Sacred Nymphs of Natterjack and Bush Beano (Bush Theatre), New Views (National Theatre), Alison's House and The Ring of Truth (Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond), An Earl’s Court Miscellany, 17 and Quality Street (Finborough Theatre), and national tours of Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy Absent Friends, Humble Boy and Nightfall (LCT). Additional credits include The Comedy Project (Soho Theatre), Les Enfants du Paradis (Arcola), Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband (Theatre Clwyd), Shakespeare’s Pericles (Ludlow), and the title role in Synge's Deirdre Of The Sorrows (Riverside Studios).

Her film and television credits include Moulin’s wife in Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, Melody in Oscar and Lucinda (with Cate Blanchett and Ralph Fiennes) and Judith Lane in the 6 part series The Burning Girls (with Samantha Morton). Other TV work includes Murder On The Blackpool Express (with Griff Rhys Jones and Johnny Vegas), Tommy and Tuppence – Partners in Crime (with David Walliams), Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Holby City, Red Dwarf, Judge John Deed, Safe House, Casualty, Where The Heart Is, Five’s BAFTA Nominated series Wing And A Prayer and the mini series Restless (BBC/HBO).

Catherine’s VO work includes commercials for Now Magazine, Daily Express, Daily Star, OK Magazine, Evening Standard, Loot, Britannic Insurance, Halcro, Trebor, UPS, American Express, Bernard Matthews, Cross & Blackwell, British Heart Foundation and Scottish Power.  She has recorded continuity for BBC TV, idents for Channel 4, was the signature voice (continuity) for the True Movies, True Movies 2 and True Entertainment channels, voiced promos and features on Daybreak (formerly GMTV), and A+E Networks True Crime Series. Other voice work includes Bitesize Revision for BBC Education, EFL CDs for Cambridge University Press, and Death By PowerPoint for Above & Beyond (Winner of the World of Learning Award). She has recorded corporates for the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service), DWP (Department for Work & Pensions), The Bank Of England, SGB Services, HBOS, Virgin, Dorothy Perkins, O2, Direct Line and British Gas.

Catherine has worked extensively for BBC Radio 3, Radio 4 and the World Service as a reader on Arts programmes including Poetry Please, Words And Music, With Great Pleasure, Opening Lines, The Verb and Night Waves, and has provided a variety of voices for documentaries such as Pandemic 1918, as well as acting in many radio dramas, the comedy series Bangers And Mash and Dr Who. She is an experienced narrator of audiobooks, recording numerous titles for Harper Collins, Ulverscroft, Isis Audio and Oakhill Publishing, and has also worked as presenter on five series of Tongue And Talk: The Dialect Poets (Radio 4/MIM) for which she was also series producer, Colomendy: A Rite Of Passage (BBC Radio Wales/MIM), and Witness / Sporting Witness (BBC World Service/MIM).

Catherine is also a writer and director, and is Artistic Director of the poetry performance group Rhyme & Reason.
