Martin Muncaster

RP / West Sussex. Classic English voice. The voice of 'Pathe News' & The BBC, of corporates and of steam trains.

His 'Churchill' and 'Peter O'Sullivan' are brilliant!  Poetry in motion!

Martin became the best-known face in the South of England when he hosted
BBC South's nightly news television magazine programme show South Today.  He was then posted to London to join the team of BBC Radio 4 newsreaders and presenters, and for a decade worked on the news and a wide range of current affairs and music programmes.

Since then he's been a busy free-lance writer and broadcaster, presented documentaries and features on radio and television, and on video for industry and commerce.  His particular interests are in the countryside (he was a regular contributor to Radio 4
's famous Countryside programme), sailing, maritime matters and communication.  Recently he completed  three years presenting on London's Melody Radio.

Martin
's voice work covers commercials for clients including Club Orange and Tango (UK TV and cinema campaigns), KFC, 4fm (in Ireland), BASF, Department of Transport (anti-drink driving campaign), Peugeot, Pot Noodle, Irish Ferries, ITV, Flaire (toy company), Center Parcs , The Guardian newspaper and Q Magazine, and promos for E4, Channel 4, Bravo, LWT and Carlton.  Martin has recorded numerous documentaries, including Virtual History (Tiger Aspect Productions), Hitler Youth, Seconds From Disaster (Nation Geographic Channel), and more recently Napoleon (Back2Back Productions).  He has also recorded a number of corporate pieces, including medical narrations for TVF, and less scientific reads for Krispy Kreme!

Martin has written two books, The Yachtsman
's Quiz Book, and The Wind In The Oak, about the life and work of his well-known artist and sailor father, Claude Muncaster.
